Touroperador ITC deja de operar tras difícil invierno en el Caribe

Con deudas que ascienden a unos US$300.000 el touroperador ruso ITC se ha visto obligado a cerrar sus operaciones al complicarse su estado financiero como consecuencia de la sobreoferta aérea que ha obligado a los operadores a vender los billetes a precio muy bajo.
Según publica el portal puntacana-bavaro.com, la asociación de turoperadores rusos ATOR, explica que el mayorista de viajes estaba especializado en destinos de largo radio, sobre todo al área Caribe, donde asegura haber estado pasando un invierno muy difícil.
ITC ya tenía previsto la salida de un centenar de clientes en las próximas semanas que ya no se producirá mientras que unas 150 personas permanecen en República Dominicana, Cuba, México, Vietnam y Jamaica.
Según la publicación, el informe oficial asegura que sólo dos turistas se han visto obligados a volver a pagar US$1.500 de su estancia en el hotel Majestic de Punta Cana, República Dominicana.
ITC posee un seguro valorado en US$1.013.000 millones para hacer frente a las reclamaciones y repatriaciones de sus clientes.
El turoperador espera superar las dificultades y poder reanudar su actividad, apenas pueda solventar los problemas que afronta en la actualidad.
