Aerolíneas Argentinas y Austral demandaron durante el primer trimestre del año subsidios del Estado por 922 millones de pesos (209 millones de dólares) para poder seguir en funcionamiento, lo que representa un 52% superior a los subsidios que las líneas aéreas habían recibido durante igual trimestre de 2011, de acuerdo al último informe de ejecución presupuestaria de la Asociaciónde Presupuesto y Administración Financiera Pública (ASAP).
Según el estudio, el presupuesto 2012 no prevé un incremento de los subsidios hacia las dos líneas aéreas estatizadas, sino su reducción. Para este año, el Congreso aprobó subsidios a Aerolíneas por 2.491 millones de pesos, casi 2 0% por debajo de la partida del año anterior.
Entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de marzo, los subsidios totalizaron $ 921,9 millones (209 millones de dólares), de los que ya consumió 37% de la partida presupuestaria, publica el portal clarin.com.
Durante 2011 Aerolíneas y Austral generaron un movimiento de caja récord de 2.000 millones de dólares, si se suman los US$ 805 millones en subsidios a una facturación récord de más de US$ 1.200 millones.
